Okay, so i thought i would try a little something different here and talk about issues which are part of everyday life and my opinions on them. This could go well or be a failure but i won't know until i try. I guess i should actually be doing something towards my A-Level work right now but yeno, I'm not feeling it.
So confidence is something which i want to address. Confidence will have a different meaning to every individual person but thats what makes it interesting. Confidence to me is feeling happy within yourself that you don't care what others think, to be able to be so sure of everything you do and to not worry or 2nd think your actions as well as to take risks and follow what you want to do. Now confidence on the other hand to someone else may be standing on a stage infront of a large crowd, standing up for what you want to say or simply wearing something which isn't 'on trend'. Thats what makes us individuals. We aren't meant to think the same.
I've always been told that i was a confident person because of my somewhat outgoing personality, being able to speak infront of crowds, introduce myself to strangers or to simply say what comes to my mind. In actual fact, I'm not as confident as you might think. When it comes to confrontation i try to avoid it at all costs, at times I'm scared to say what i think incase i offend someone, scared of people judging me and especially I'm not 100% confident with my appearance. But thats okay, not everyone is perfect and not everyone will be happy with every aspect of their lives. I accept that I'm not as confident as i may seem but I try to work on it cause at times it does hold me back, but everyone is the same.
But what I'm trying to say in this post is that, as much as you may think that you are not, you are confident and should be confident about something in your life. It may not be what everyone else thinks but who cares? If you are happy, thats all that matters. I find that by putting myself out of my comfort zone at times to do things i would never have tired before really helps in building my self-esteem and confidence. Wether it be something as small as starting a conversation with someone or introducing yourself to even uploading that selfie you weren't too sure about. It all contributes towards opening yourself up and trying new things and ultimately, building your confidence.
I feel that in society, everyone is so quick to judge and pick flaws on themselves and others. They concentrate more on the negatives than the positives and i can say, i too, am guilty of doing all of these. But when you sit back and think about your life and all the potential it has, you realise that you shouldn't let anything or anyone hold you back from what you want to do. At the end of the day, its your life, why let someone else live it? An example would be this blog. i was so so nervous to start it up because of what people would say or what if people judged me or looked at me differently, when in actual fact everyone who I've spoken to about it has given me nothing but positive support and that means the world to me. Ive honestly been so happy to start it and now have somewhere as an outlet for me and would highly recommend for anyone else who is thinking about doing one, to do it. Even for anyone who has been thinking about doing something out of their comfort zone for ages but is scared of what others will say, go for it, you won't regret it. To end this, slightly ranty and rambly blog i just want to say that no matter wether you do good or bad people will always have something to say, so please yourself. Work on your strengths and focus on them and gradually, the more you go out of your comfort zone the more you will realise the potential you have and your confidence will come alongside that.
I hope this helped someone out there,
Tell me if you like these sort of posts cause i like to have a good rant and chat at times.
Thanks for reading.
