Real Techniques are a beauty brand which have brushes designed for beginners to more experienced make-up users and cover all the keys areas needed to have your own collection. I have the face brushes but the brand does other sets and tools to cover every part of the face.
After watching many YouTube make-up tutorials and noticing the Real Techniques brushes kept popping up I felt that I should give them a go and see what the hype was about, and to finally get myself a make-up brush collection which would be a basis to build upon.
I currently have 6 brushes which are the main basis brushes for the face, in any collection.
Powder brush
The powder brush was my last purchase of my set and it has been lovingly used. Its a great brush for adding all-over face powder, bronzer or even a little blush and it's super super soft and big!
Buffing brush
The buffing brush is a great tool and can be used for a variety of things. I firstly started using it for adding bronzer and a slight contour to my cheeks as it has a slight defined edge and it did the job well. I then moved onto using it to buff foundation onto my skin and it works wonders! My foundation looks more seamless, natural and it's a lot faster applied to my skin!
Expert face brush
The expert face brush was my first ever Real Techniques brush to be purchased and I used it as my foundation brush which also worked very well but I found it harder to work into the skin compared to using the buffing brush. It's a great brush for a beginner to use to apply foundation as it's much easier than the standard foundation brush!
Contour brush
The contour brush was one which came in a set with a few of the other ones. I find it gives a very soft contour and isn't very specific or sharp, so it gives a very natural look.
Pointed foundation brush and detailer brush
